Just east of Red Deer, in central Alberta, you will find the Rolyn Hills Bed and Breakfast. Hosts Lynda and Rob Purdie, will treat you to good old fashioned western hospitality.
Choose between a stay in the B&B or treat yourself to a memorable vacation in The Homestead -our guest house which features a cozy fireplace and verandah on which to relax. Muffins and fruit will be provided each morning and the fully equipped kitchen will allow for preparation of other meals as you desire. The dorm-style bedroom allows for up to 8 people to sleep comfortably in a choice of 1 queen, 1 double, or 4 single bunks, all covered with home-made quilts. Rustic elegance will surround you at The Homestead.
The B&B will offer comfort to the single traveller or couples. Families are welcome. 2 rooms with a queen bed and 1 room with a double bed; a cot is available for a bedroom or 2 pull outs in the sitting room for extras. Breakfast is served in the large country kitchen -choices are available.
If one desires, you can participate in the ranch work. Ride out to check the steers, or help move them to another pasture. There is usually time for a scenic tour in the "rolyn" hills via horseback to view wildlife and Mother Nature in all her glory.
"Fred & Barney" the ranch team is available to pull the wagon if your choice is to let them do the work. Relax and let your worries slip away. Enjoy your time and tell the tales of your Western Adventure.
After the work is done, enjoy a time around the campfire with your guitar-playing hosts. Share your talents or just visit and watch the sparks fly towards the night sky as you re-live your day at Rolyn Hills. It's a great place and opportunity to get away and make memories of "an authentic experience".
